By definition, a Multi-Strategy approach engages in a variety of investment strategies.  It is designed to solve the problem of ineffective diversification.  Instead of the traditional method of diversifying by asset type or asset allocation, this combines multiples strategies that perform very differently in a wide variety of market conditions.  This diversifies different.
